6th Grade Parents Time Sensitive Request!

LAST MINUTE REQUEST FROM MS. GOLD: TIME SENSITIVE!
There are 3 trips to the Getty Villa planned this spring for the 6th grade that require "trained chaperones". The training is THIS Saturday January 21 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. We know, it's super-last-minute! But imagine being alone in the gorgeous Getty Villa in Malibu when it's mostly EMPTY receiving a private docent lesson with a small group of people? Imagine spending the morning in the solitude of an ancient villa overlooking the gorgeous Pacific Ocean? Kinda takes the sting out of getting up early, huh?

Wondering About Field Trips?

We are streamlining our field trip process and zeroing on potential dates. The 6th graders can expect an art/theater experience and a science adventure. Specifics are being worked out & we'll have events & dates soon. An afternoon spent playing with with the works of William Shakespeare is in store for the 7th graders and many of the 8th graders are looking forward to their Annual New York trip in the spring with maybe another surprise or two.

TONIGHT 12/8 5-7pm DROP-IN MEETING for 8th Grade TRIP TO NEW YORK CITY Rm. 107

"Reed's Got Talent": The Humanities Kids Pull Off An Amazing Show!

Friday night had it all: buckets of pouring rain, LA's hottest food trucks, delicious homemade baked goods, a red carpet lined with paparazzi, a gallery filled with a diverse collection of art and a large enthusiastic crowd! But at the center of it all was a show that was literally bursting with talent. From violin to piano, to bands just rockin' out the crowd, to dancers and tumblers, singers, magicians, techno artists and slam poetry! It was a night of creativity, courage and unbelievable talent.
